Let's introduce our first founder!
My name is Hunter; I am a Husband, Father, Prepared Protector, aspiring Homesteader, and a Pilgrim in Christ.
My professional Background consists of various venues within the firearms industry and blue collar trade work; currently in pursuit of career within software space and I also produce content for my education and training company “Trained Hands” (media, written resources, and in person foundational training tbd).
I highly prioritize personal training. Focus on performance and practical concealed handgun, practical fitness, minimal rifle/kit with a modern minuteman focus, and minimal milsim for force on force and SUT (strive to add BJJ in the near future).
Have always had an affinity with practical everyday tools and equipment.
Started out my conscientious watch journey with a Gshock traded to me by a childhood best friend who was active duty Army stationed in South Korea.
Wore throughout my now wife and I’s dating years and upgraded to a Garmin Instinct our first Christmas right after wedding.
At my previous job in the firearms industry; began to gain interest from coworkers wearing traditional tool watches (sangins and sterlings). Began research considering Winfield Watches as was drawn to the vintage/WWII era homage field watches for a first piece. Landed on Hamilton and finalized on my Khaki Field Titanium (have post going more in depth).
For myself; watches embody heritage, history, and a constant reminder of the most precious commodity of TIME.
Long term do not intend to have a large collection; rather a select few (5 or 6 long term) of quality, practical tool usage, heritage, varying styles, and personal significance.
For now, such is accomplished with my Khaki Field, my Stirling Upham (currently dedicated to a WOE x ZA 4.0) and building up a collection of straps. In the future, aspire towards a Breitling Aerospace as the next major piece (most likely a 2000’s model), a Tudor Pelagos 42 (after the pursuit of Night Vision lol), and someday a Rolex Polar Explorer II; but realistically prioritize the Tudor as the true grail with all it embodies.
Overall; my goal in this space is to further develop community with likemended men and sharpen iron with brothers in Christ.
Personal message; Turn to Christ
, God bless you Gents happy to have you here!
